Dr Maria Zioga is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist specialising in Child, Adolescent and Parenting work. She is a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and she is registered with the UK regulatory body - the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Maria has a strong scientific-clinical background and training as she holds a DPhil in Child Psychiatry (Oxford University), a Master’s in Developmental Psychology, another Master’s in Psychology of Education and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling, all from leading UK departments. She offers individualised Clinical Psychology expertise on the specific needs of the child and the family, and consults relevant businesses focusing on children and adolescents’ healthy psychological development.

She has a long and multifaceted experience working in the NHS, Higher Education, Schools, Private and Charitable Sectors, and she brings local, national, and international experiences. Maria also has a management background by qualification (holds an MBA Essentials with distinction (LSE) and further management and leadership training) and she has served at a regional Director level in the past. She is currently the Principal Clinical Psychologist for CAMHS in-patient Adolescent services at the Priory Group, Roehampton Hospital in London, where complex cases are admitted for assessments and treatments.

She is the founder and Director of The Hampstead Psychology Clinic which specialises exclusively in (1) Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychology Services (2) Specialised Parenting, and (3) Business Consulting on Children & Adolescents’ normal Development. Maria is passionate and determined to be producing realistic care plans and make topical recommendations which promote healthier psychological development for every child to reach their true potential, with close attention to all crucial parameters including the affected child, adolescent or parent, the family as a system, and the school (holistic model). She is also happy to work with parents and help them overcome their concerns, dilemmas and difficulties and can counsel parents on how to effectively cope as a couple and family during challenging times. She values and is sensitively committed to ensuring confidential and discreet environments for all the families she sees. Maria has the clinical expertise and understanding to provide specialised and efficient business consultancy in a combined style, and to offer quality advice to providers relevant to child and adolescent mental health and psychological development.
